Marina Ludanova LRPS

Marina Ludanova was born in Ulyanovsk, Russia. From early childhood she became interested in arts and while attending regular school, she enrolled in Children's Art School at age 10, from which she graduated with honors. She mastered painting and drawing and at age 16 she started working as an artist for various enterprises. At the same time she enrolled in Sverdlovsk State University, which she graduated with master degree in Fine Arts. After graduation Marina worked in Ulyanovsk Art Museum until 1993 when she and her familly moved to the United States. Here Marina became interested in photography and computer arts and have decided to become a student again. She earned the Certificate in Photography and credits for computer arts from Consumnes River College in Sacramento, California. In 2001 Marina joined The Royal Photographic Society and a year later she was awarded Licentiateship distinction from the Society. In 2002 she submitted her works to the 145th International Competition, sponsored by RPS. One of her photographs "Black Door" was selected for Exhibition and printed in RPS catalog. She also entered The Photography Competition sponsored by The Royal Aero Club. There she received the third place in Digital Prints Category for "Big and Small" image. Year 2003 brought more recognition of Marina's works. Image "Expectation" made top 5 in MacWorld Digital competition. Another image "Thought" became a winner of RPS Overseas competition in Digital category, and yet another work "Dreaming the Universe" was selected by Period Gallery for excellence in digital artistry.
Marina works in both traditional and digital media in photography. In addition to photography she enjoys painting (oil, acrylic and water color) and other areas of artistic activities.
